Fortress groups and planetary detonators
On withdrawal, humans left fortress groups across the terminator and other regions, forming a defence and energy network. Confirmed fittings include electromagnetic barriers, automatic defence, clearance troops, mecha patrols, and a planetary detonator.
Detonators are distributed. Their energy is an artificial miniature glueball singularity. If some fortresses fall, the rest can still chain-detonate. The energy can tear the planetary core and erase 1649C together with the surface horde. The human disposal structure is this: after immortal humans are made, the means to erase both them and the planet is retained.
